My current homestuck painting. Eridan you’re looking terrible what have I done. Hands are looking a bit wonky right now, and I definitely need to coordinate my palette and change the shading style on Eridan to match Tavros.
I actually had the very basic sketch for this(not shown) for awhile, and I was inspired to work on it again because I remembered an Omegle convo with another Homestuck where I said I’d post some EriTav. This is for you, random human being. Keep on shippin rare pairs darling.

Whilst trying to fix a wireless problem on my end, for some odd reason or other I got booted due to the connection problems. Pretty started as fluffy High!Tavros on Sopor slime before it ended up being Smutty and somewhat sad.
Here’s the end of the end of the log so that I don’t break any rules here.

I WAS JUST DAYDREAMING ABOUT YOU *he smiled, although his eyes betrayed him. he made sure that eridan wouldn’t glance up by rubbing his hand through eridan’s hair* aND YOU WERE SIMPLY PERFECT. HONEST, ERIDAN. IVE NEVER FELT THIS WAY ABOUT ANYONE EVER. i-I LOVE YOU. *he smiled again. he meant those words with his soul, but those words eridan said before still roamed around his think pan*
▲: Eridan wasn’t so sure, there was just something off about Tavros at the moment. “…youre lying.” Looking down and balling his hands into fists Eridan struggled to not cry. “youre lying aboat somefin an not tellin me…” Eridan sniffed without meaning to as he stared at his hands. “wwhy arent you tellin me? wwas this reely a lie then? you’re regrettin this noww?” Somewhere in his think pan, his more pessimistic, realistic and more asshole side of his mind screamed ‘i told you so!’
▼: *tavros’s eyes widened, he raised eridan up so that he was staring directly into his eyes* ERIDAN, I WOULD NEVER LIE TO YOU. YOU REALLY WERE AMAZING, AND IF I HAD THE STRENGTH, I’D DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN RIGHT NOW. AND I TRUELY DO LOVE YOU ERIDAN. I LOVE YOU MORE THAN ANYONE IN THIS ENTIRE UNIVERSE AND BEYOND. DONT YOU uNDERSTAND, ERIDAN? YOUR EVERYTHING tO ME! *he stared intensely into eridan’s eyes, trying to make him understand*

Its always like this, him always ending up rejected. “If you reely lovved me than you should tell me wwhats wwrong instead of lying to my face!” Eridan stated quietly wrenching his head out of Tavros’s grip to nestle them between the knees he brought up to his chest, looking somewhat dejected.

But he was curious as to what he said that would upset the Page. “Wwhat did I say exactly that wwas reely upsetting you?” Eridan asked, “I might forgivve you if you tell me…” It was underhanded but he wanted to know what had happened so he could rectify his mistake. He was not going to lose someone because of his own folly. That’s what, what drove Feferi away from him and he was not planning on making the same mistake.

▼: *tavros glanced down. he wanted forgiveness more than anything, but he was petrified of hurting eridan even more. he sighes and mumbles “i-i pity you, i like you, i cant take much more, i feel like im going to burst”. he prays that eridan didn’t hear him, but clarifies the hiden meanings behind each painful phrase anyways. “i pity you= i only agreed to be here because i felt sorry for you”, “i like you= your a good friend and all, but i like you isn’t quite i love you”, “i can’t take much more” and “im going to burst” both= i was hurting you, causing you physical pain.
